Soft Flute English


Description:

Listed only by Irwin, who says: A stop-name that indicates a stopped Flute in most cases, although it is vague in regard to the tone quality. It may be at 8' or 4' on the manuals; this name usually does not appear among the pedal stops. Examples Notwithstanding Irwin's description, the only examples we know of do in fact appear in pedal divisions: Soft Flute 8', 4', Pedal; Royce Hall, University of California, Los Angeles, California, USA; E.
