Description:

Audsley lists Scharfregal as �An old and obsolete lingual stop, of 4 ft. pitch, and very keen intonation, as its name implies.� Wedgwood describes it as �A Regal of sharp incisive tone, similar to the Messing-Regal.� The synonyms Starckregal and Starkregal are mentioned only by Adlung.
