These names indicate a Posaune stop that appears at 8' in the pedal (see Posaunenbass). The suffix bass indicates a stop that belongs to the pedal, and the term chormass indicates 8' pitch (see Chormassprincipal).
See also Posaunenbass Unterchormass.The only known example is one cited by Adlung �at Breslau�. Adlung cites it twice, once for each of the two names; it is not known which is the correct one.
