Muted Diapason English


Listed only by Maclean, who says: The name given by the Kimball Co. to a Diapason of relatively smooth, fluty tone. Some German builders have occasionally given the names Flötenprincipal and Principalflöte to a stop of this kind.


Only one example is known.
