Fagottbass German?

Description:

Mentioned only in passing by Audsley, who provides no definition. The suffix bass is often used in German stop nomenclature to indicate that the stop belongs to the Pedal; we may therefore assume that this stop is merely a Fagott that appears in the Pedal. Examples Fagottbass 16', Pedal; Cathedral of Ulm; Walcker. Bibliography Audsley[1]: Bassoon. FOOTER Original site compiled by Edward L. Stauff. For educational use only.
