Bearded Gamba English

Description:

An unimitative string stop of 8' manual pitch or, rarely, 16' pedal pitch. It takes its name from the beard attached to each pipe mouth: a flat metal plate, soldered to the bottoms of the pipe's ears, which may or may not also be soldered to the pipe's lower lip. The beard slows the speech of the pipe.
